Wild Child DeCoria

We have a wild child on our hands. She has been discovering she can do more and more lately and I think it's gonna give us gray hair soon, haha! Some of the stuff is pretty dang funny though.

Here's a few pics to update her latest mischief and discoveries.

She discovered our sliding glass door. I was outside Bbq'ing chicken and when I turned to look back inside this is what I found. I couldn't stop laughing! She is SUCH a character!

This next pic is one I thought was pretty funny; the look she gave me was such a proud look. It's as if she was saying "Hey momom (that's what she calls me), didn't I do a good job eating tonight?" Yes...yes you did dear.

We don't keep her bouncer in the living room anymore because she's too big for it now. We leave it in our bedroom to give her something to play with while one or the other of us is getting ready for the day. I came into the room the other day when I heard some whining...this is what I found. She figured out how to climb up on it. Aren't you suppose to face the other way in the bouncer babe?

Later that day she decided to try it again and this is how far she got. She was bouncing on it and squealing at herself in the mirror. Yee-haw!!

About 10 seconds later she tried to sit and it ended up on top of her. All is well though!

The other night while Ryan was folding laundry Shelby decided to stand up and take the laundry basket for test drive. It was the first time she had done this and it was as though she'd done it a million times! Now she's able to go around corners and just about anything. We call it our "poor homemade walker". She's doing an awesome job but I'm sure this is just gonna help her start walking sooner. Ahhh!

Shelby discovered that our laundry baskets make great walkers. She has so much fun!

Huffin rice

Lately Shelby has been going through this "huffing and puffing" phase. Well...it may or may not be a phase, which is fine, but it's hilarious! It's even more funny when her face is covered with rice or some other sorts of food. Here's cute pic and video we were able to get of her during one of her "episodes".

Dad says I'm "Huffing rice." Haha!

There is NEVER a dull moment with this little one. Always keeping us on our toes and always making us laugh when she does things like this all the time! Love her!

Kayaking on the farm

The latest and greatest activity we've been doing at the farm is kayaking. My brother Nic and his wife bought a kayak a little while ago and my parents and sister liked it so much that they decided to buy three for themselves!

The river is the perfect place for kayaking since we have an awesome beach to launch from. This past weekend we had 90+ degree weather so it was a perfect time to get on the water and have some fun. Here's a few pics of our latest trip to the beach on the farm.

On the farm with Mima & Pops

We LOVE to visit Mima & Pops in Chehalis at the farm. This is where I grew up and there couldn't be a better place to raise a family. We grew up fishing, hunting, boating, shooting, riding quads and dirt bikes, haying, gardening, raising animals and much much more. We're also extremely lucky to have siblings close by so Shelby can play with her cousins.

We were never really bored because there was almost always something to do. Ryan and I are all about taking Shelby and future kids down to "the farm" to give them as much of a country life and possible. If Ryan didn't work in two major cities then I'm sure we'd be living in or closer to the country.

Here's some of the fun things we do with Shelby down at the farm.

We hang out in PJ's and watch Phineas and Ferb!

We take tractor rides.

We also have a lot of fun indoors.

We take baths in the big kitchen sink.

Oh how we love the farm and wish we could visit every weekend. We've got the rest of summer to take advantage of the beautiful sunshine and to play some more outside. For now...we'll go play so we can get more pics and memories!
