80 Degree Easter!

This past weekend we were able to travel to Chehalis to spend Easter with my family. This was Shelby's second Easter but the first one where she would actually be able to participate in an Easter egg hunt. I have to admit, I wasn't crazy excited for the egg hunt because I didn't think she would understand the concept because she was still so young, but boy was I wrong! She grabbed that basket and went around picking up eggs like a champ! Eventually she got tired of lugging the heavy basket around and ditched it so we followed her around while she picked up a few more eggs. She got "egged" out pretty quickly so the adults ended up searching for the rest of the eggs, but we did manage to find them all!

We, the bunnies, filled 100 eggs to hide. Whew!
The Easter Bunny visited us over night; so fun!
Shelby got a stuffed duck, a bunny water bottle, a fun boomerang frisbee, new rubber duckies for the bath, 3 onsies, and 3 big bunny "eggs" with a few pieces of chocolate and a few tiny chocolate bunnies. She got a stuffed lamb, a cute sundress and some yummy apple crisps from Mima and Pops. Kaeli gave each of the kids a giant "golden egg" with a dollar inside and a cute little basket.  They also got Ryan and I a little basket, woohoo! We got starburst jelly beans, mini cadbury cream eggs and a gift card to Cold Stone. Yum!! It was so much fun to see Shelby get so excited and to ask what everything was.

Picking out the goodies

"This is serious business guys!"

Found one!

We deemed this our "Family Hands" picture.

After being "egged out".

Finally figured out how to open it and get the goodies inside!

She got tired of walking so this is how we picked up a few eggs .

Ready...Set...

Gooooo!!!

I love this picture; she loves her daddy!

We couldn't have asked for a better day to be outside and to celebrate Easter. It was 80 (on the thermometer) outside! Ok....so it was maybe only 75, but it sure felt like 80. It was awesome! We spent the entire weekend outside playing in the yard, on the swing sets, on the trampoline and going for walks. I can't wait for summer to get here so we can do that every day! Sunshine makes me so much happier than the gloomy long winters we have here.

Baby aviators, hehe!

It's always more fun to climb up, right?

Almost there!

Happy Easter from our little family!
Jane was down for the weekend too and while Nic and Becki went up skiing for the day on Monday she and Shelby got to play. They had a blast playing outside, inside and everywhere in between! Here are a few pics of the fun. It was such a great weekend!

"Gotta make breakfast...oy!"

Shelby wants up...Jane wants down.

We'll get this slide thing figured out someday!
