Becoming Mobile and Silly Giggles

Shelby is slowly...well I guess slowly isn't the right word...she is definitely becoming more and more mobile each day. She is doing "trial and error" types of crawling/scooting. Within the last week she has gone from the push-up flop to the army crawl face plant. The ladder consists of her scooting forward so fast that she gets her arms stuck under her and ends up doing a face plant while her little legs flail in the air. She quickly recovers, resets her stance and goes at it again...and again and again. Needless to say she's getting to what she wants more and more quickly; it's scary to think she'll actually be a full crawler soon!

She's constantly learning how to get to things faster and faster. Ahhh mobility!

She is also laughing more and more. It's a lotta fun to watch Ryan make animal noises and get her laughing pretty good. Here's what we caught on video today. Silly little girl! (warning: she's swinging during the video so hopefully no one gets motion sick)

Ryan's making some monkey noises that makes Shelby really laugh.

We've also discovered that she likes things in her mouth...constantly. What baby doesn't, right? She likes us to move her binkie back and forth across her gums really quickly so it squeaks. She will sit and smile the whole time you do that. She also likes to squeal and have you move your finger up and down between her lips really quickly so she sounds like she's babbling. It's pretty hilarious when she gets going. She knows what she likes! Here's a little video of the babbling.

Shelby likes it when you move your finger between her lips really fast. It's pretty funny.

Hope you enjoyed the updates! There's more to come because our little girl is almost 6 months...ahhh!!
