Push-ups @ 5.5 months

Shelby is still in the early stages of learning how to crawl, so in the mean time she finds other unique, and sometimes not so productive, ways to get around. She started out doing what we called the weeble wobble crawl, which you can see if you click here.

Next she started to push really hard with her arms when she had her chest pushed up off the ground which in turn made her go backwards...which is not what she wanted to do. She got pretty frustrated when she would realize she wasn't getting any closer, but actually further away.

The last two days she's been doing this "plank" or "push-up" type of flop. She gets herself in a push-up looking position and will then flop herself forward. It works pretty dang well for her and she gets to things a LOT faster that way. It's only a matter of time now before she realizes that if she uses her knees to push herself forward she'd go a lot faster...but I can wait for that.

Our little girl's got skills...check her out!
Baby's got skills!
And yes...she did get the TV remote after that push-up and flop forward. No...she didn't get it for very long. :-) Oh...and she only does this for electronic devices such as a remote or phone. She could really care less about her other toys if one of those other things are in view. I think we have a techie on our hands.
